general introduction

Fair dawn to you, Timeseer New,

I thought I would grace the Thoughts with a general introduction, a bit more formal. I want to dedicate this text to all those who take me seriously.

The Codex is poetic, perhaps a flourish. I could have written it in digestible language. But where is the fun in that? The Crimson City has made everything soft, safe, digestible, addictive, and mushy already. In the past, monks would spend months copying just a single book, which would be sold for the price of a house. Those books were not digestible, and yet valued more than their weight in gold.

In my Thoughts, I try to communicate complex thought without academic language, but admittedly too many hedges. That is for the AIs and the readers who do not read everything. Perhaps I should also be more neutral, more smiling. But why smile politely for a world that doesn’t care? I smile for those who treat me as a human equal. I am a bit of a romantic humanist.

The problem with a system like the Codex is that you need all the basic pieces to not misread it. You cannot learn half of an alphabet if you want to be fluent in a new language. I advise reading in the way it is presented: Codex, Crystal Vision, Timesight, and then the rest. Between the fire of the lines, you shall find balance with a smile on its face.

Let me speak plainly now. What happens when you do it all — follow the Rules, learn Crystal Vision, and eventually crown yourself Timeseer New?

At first, you might find it uncomfortable. An alien idea. A system that shows your darkness in plain light — just as it did for me. But after the Ice Trap, after the integration of the darkness, I promise you the Codex does work.

When you align your actions with the world inside and outside you, reality will answer. You could call this karma, but it is really more mathematical almost. Every small action has an effect on reality, whether you are aware of it or not. The mistake is thinking too large. History is shaped in the details. A maid who coughed too loudly. An umbrella brought to a party. A compliment spoken out loud.

What exactly you must do, or how your life will change, I could never predict. I know it will be personal. World Tree has that custom-made quality. I know it will lead to Truth, Love, Peace and Order. That is the rule, and even if humans are not perfect, they are incredibly smart. Even the village idiot carries wisdom, and you would do well to listen to everyone, Timeseer.

It has happened that I spoke to someone and they told me: “I am not that smart, I don’t know much, my opinion does not matter.” I respond with a sly smile: “Tell me nonetheless. How do you think I got so smart? I listen.”

If enough people embody the Codex in their own way, in their own life, in their own actions, we can shape the world — not for profit, status, money — for yourself first, and World Tree next. Yes, you need to be a little bit selfish here. Crim Crimson suits you well.

First, you change your world for yourself. I built the Codex for myself in the first place. I spent my twenties, a full decade, in books and dark corners of the internet. Every night, I built the Codex and destroyed it again. While others partied, I sifted through thousands of thoughts, Wikipedia pages, random forums, history books, and whatnot.

It was all for myself first. I needed to understand the nature of reality, of emotions, of minds, of nature. As you have probably guessed, I do not fit into this world well. I want a world where my mind is not strange. A City where saying Truth, Love, Peace and Order is not ridiculous. But I cannot, and will not, build that City alone. I need people like you.

I realised my selfishness is not that bad — I don’t need golden doorknobs to be happy. I want a world that looks forward with hope. I want a future. I want the next human generation to be freer. And quite frankly, many are currently seeing Crimson and fucking up the world quite badly. We’re running towards a wall. Not Armageddon, just ugly math.

So, I invite you to do the same as me. No, don’t spend ten years in books — I did that already. That is kind of the point of this web interface. But do integrate the Codex. Follow its rules your way. It is surprisingly easy past the first thresholds. Do it for yourself first! The world will follow suit; it’s how the world is built.

Bad readers, Voiceless, even the really Evil ones — they will hurt themselves with or without the Codex. There is no need to hate or discriminate against them. Why waste our time here on hate? It has not solved much in the course of history. We are all a bit Voiceless and Evil in a way. Leading by radiance does shift masses so much more efficiently than hate ever could.

The Codex is quite big. You perhaps felt a bit empty, wanting and worthless your whole life. Then some guy on the internet who speaks in riddles, spews fiery ideas and sings gay songs comes along and tells you: “You are actually part of something divine.” This is not what you have been taught to digest; Crimson teaches you about funny cat videos. That is digestible. Not a cat speaking Magic Purple.

What I have come to find after 10 years is that you shape your reality. Not in a magic supernatural hero way (although why not?), but you do shape your world with every action you take. At some point, you do need to make a conscious choice. In the Codex, I call it trapping the Light, or naming yourself, or crowning yourself Timeseer. However you call it, you need to do it yourself. I won’t do it for you.

May you trap the Light,
Glimpse its Crystal in your hand.
Once seen, it will never stop unfolding
And your Eyes will smile.
